To create a suite of videos that will punctuate a mute-friendly timeline on Facebook and Instagram, designed to convince students to take part in the National Student Survey
Our approach was to create videos that are bold, straight-talking and that get to the point quickly. We believed if we’re going to grab the attention in a scrolling, timeline environment then we need to do something off-beat and unexpected. Our videos use simple, curious and straight-forward reasons why the viewer should do the survey.
We developed a simple illustration style that would allow us to be quite stripped back in its approach. Using limited colours that also link back up to the University of Nottingham brand, whilst retaining some room in the style to be a little off the wall with the tone.
